Brand: AQI Skin Care

Product: Daily Facial Moisturiser

Cost: $29.95

I’ve suffered from dermatitis my whole life and struggled to find skin care products that I didn’t react to. And after hearing about AQI and their natural skin care products from a friend, I decided to try it and I am so glad I did.

I first tried the Daily Facial Moisturiser and I was so happy with the results; 1) My skin didn’t react 2) My face was hydrated, soft and smooth throughout the day without needing to reapply.

But what I absolutely love about this product besides being made from natural ingredients is that it’s non-greasy and gets absorbed into my skin quickly.

Our next review is Billie Goat Soap ‘Hydrating Facial Serum’ which is available in chemists and other stores for around $16.95.

I picked this up when in the chemist one day. I was thinking that the billie goat soap products might be good for my son who has sensitive skin. I spotted the facial serum and thought I would try that. It quickly became a favourite product of mine. The advertising tells us that it contains pro-vit E, glycerine and Australian Kakadu Plum all of which works together to rebuild and brighten skin. It also contains high concentration of vitamin C which we all know is great for skin.

The product feels great on the skin and appears to do its job without causing any reactions. Which is important for me as I have very sensitive skin. I find this leaves my skin feeling soft, moist and bright. It’s one of those products that has become an ‘absolute must’ in my skin care regimen. I simply will not be without it.

Sara and I (Tania) had fun with these. Pink Sky was sent a package of masks so we had to take some time to try out all the masks. Sara has her reviews here first.

Lonvitale C6 Green Tea Antioxidant Facial Mask.

Formulated with Green Tea extracts, vitamins and minerals, this highly moisturising face mask improves skin clarity and prevents premature aging.

The mask felt great for a while although my skin began to feel slightly warm. It was great after taking off the mask although I was reading later that afternoon and noticed that my face felt very, very warm even hot. I wondered if I had a temperature or something. I looked in the mirror and saw rosy cheeks which I haven’t seen for quite some time (not sure why that is).

I mentioned this to Sara the next day who said she hoped it wasn’t an allergic reaction. I did notice the following morning that I had rosy cheeks which I was happy with, to be honest. The rosiness vanished over a couple of days. I loved the mask and would use it again.

The other mask I tried was the C4 Coconut Milk Hydrating and Nourishing Face Mask. I was with a few friends one of whom noticed that whilst wearing the mask my skin was becoming very red. I noticed it was feeling very hot too so I took off the mask and washed my face. My skin continued to get redder and hotter and I ended up needing to go to my local medical centre. The doctor said my skin wasn’t actually burnt so that was good. He thought it was one hell of a way to look better later on though! Jokes aside, I was given steroid medication which took away the redness and burning sensation with an hour. It came back overnight then faded over the next two days.

I feel terrible writing such a review but I did promise honesty. My opinion is that these are good products for most people. Sara had no problems with the masks she used. I have reacted to other products since then (of a different brand) and I do have sensitive skin.

I did go on to use the eye masks and had no problem there. I used the lip one as well and was okay with that too. So if you have sensitive skin, you might want to be careful with these.

I would love to review my favourite skincare product Skincerity, which is the world’s only cosmetic breathable barrier mask which traps your skin’s natural moisture, resulting in hydrated, glowing skin. It reduces wrinkles, evens out skin tone and helps get rid of scarring, acne, pigmentation and other issues. Used consistently, it helps prevent further skin damage and aging. The clear mask is rolled on at night and in the morning, simply washed off with warm water. Combined with the other skincare products in the range, this is fast becoming the skin care regime of choice for make-up artists, celebrities and ‘women-in-the-know’ around the world. I have had great results with this product and the entire range and have also seen others achieve amazing changes to their skin.

Ooh, we have also been able to review the fabulous Freya’s Nourishment Range of beauty products. How lucky are we?

Sara and I both began with the Rose Hand Scrub which was fabulous! Just a light scrub, a light rinse so as not to rinse off all the wonderful oils and then a quick pat dry. Wonderful to do just before bedtime so you can awaken with smooth and soft hands. We do not pamper our hands as much as we should. This product should certainly inspire you to do just that! Look at these wonderful ingredients! I haven’t seen these yummy sorts of products since the late 90’s where I used to purchase from a little store in Palmwoods on the Sunshine Coast. Here’s the list…

Australian sea salt, Prunus armeniaca (apricot kernel oil)*, Daucus carota (carrot seed oil), Punica granatum (pomegranate oil)*, Rosa damascena (rose), Rosmarinus Officinalis Ct, Verbone (rosemary)*, Rose Petals*

You can purchase this for only $27 at Freya’s website which will be below. I should add here that the website is a delight to visit too!

I also got to use the awesome Jasmine Bath Salts. I love Jasmine, it’s my favourite scent so this is just a delight! Lazing in a warm bath with the smell of jasmine! These retail for $17 for a 350gr pack! They are also available in Lavender and Rose.

Freya’s Nourishment has a whole range of equally beautiful products all of which we highly recommend. Check out the pics below!

That’s it for today’s beauty products but stay tuned for more reviews on the fabulous products out there!
